The genesis
A seat in the national conversation.
On 1 September 2026, at the start of his second term, President Hakainde Hichilema presented the Grow Zambia agenda: a national shift from economic stabilisation towards growth, production, employment, investment and shared prosperity. BeRelevant Afrika took up that directive as a call to action — a deliberate, recurring platform through which young people take their seat in the national growth conversation, rather than waiting to be briefed on it.
The Youth Edition is the first summit of the five-year Grow Zambia Ecosystem curated by BeRelevant Afrika. More than 500 delegates are expected: young leaders and young professionals, Government representatives, private sector players, civil society and international partners.
The theme
#ShowUp has three meanings.
ShowUp is a call to action with three meanings: young people show up to the conversation, bringing evidence, ideas and questions rather than only expectations; young leaders show up to lead, taking responsibility for delivery in their businesses, institutions and communities; and Government, the private sector and partners show up for young people, with access, opportunity and honest engagement.

Mission
To build a sustained, evidence-driven platform that brings young Zambians into the national growth conversation, and turns their ideas into dialogue, innovation, leadership and practical action.
The ecosystem
The Grow Zambia Summit is the first flagship convening of the Grow Zambia Ecosystem, BeRelevant Afrika’s five-year, youth-centred platform for dialogue, participation, innovation, leadership and community action. Each year the cycle repeats, carrying the conversation from Lusaka into provinces, districts and communities across Zambia.
The convener
BeRelevant Afrika is an implementing organisation working on community economic empowerment and youth engagement across Zambia. Through the Grow Zambia Ecosystem, it connects young Zambians with Government, industry, development partners, civil society and communities around the priorities of the Grow Zambia Agenda.
